ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
Ali is a Hudson Valley native, an attorney, and a proud Croton dad. As the son of working-class immigrants, Ali learned early the value of hard work and fairness. He runs a private law practice advocating for workers facing harassment and discrimination.
Ali's legal experience includes serving as a judicial law clerk in New Jersey's second-largest court system, where he managed weekly arraignments. He knows firsthand what a functional, efficient, and compassionate justice system looks like—and he is ready to bring that standard to Croton-on-Hudson.
WHY I'M RUNNING
The Village Justice plays an important role in the daily life of Croton on Hudson. From traffic matters to local code issues, the court should reflect the values of fairness, respect, and accountability that define our village. I am running to ensure that every resident who enters our courtroom is treated with dignity and impartiality.
KEY PRIORITIES
True justice requires full comprehension. I will ensure live interpreters are available for every court session, so no one is given fewer options simply because of the language they speak.
Handling a minor ticket shouldn't require an unpaid day off. I will introduce night court sessions to accommodate standard work shifts and put people first.
A 21st-century court needs 21st-century tools. I will modernize scheduling and communications to respect everyone's time, health, and work conflicts.
